Eli's BBQ

I have been told numerous times to go to Eli's. Numerous. It can't be an accident. It did not disappoint. Eli's is an adorable spot on Riverside Dr in Cincinnati. We waited in a very short line amongst the decor of classic vinyl records, guitar amps and awesomeness.

I ordered the smoked turkey, jalapeno grits and macaroni and cheese. Turkey was delicious, very moist and flavorful. I lurve the sauce. It was a hint spicy and smoky. They totally satisfied me from the beginning by grilling the bun. Why is that so hard for some people to get?

I cannot say enough about the sides. The jalapeno grits were out of this world. Just the right hint of creamy, spicy and stick to your ribs good. The macaroni and cheese was not lacking in either ingredient. Very cheesy and creamy.

Pat ordered the pulled pork, mashed potatoes and macaroni and cheese. I had a bite and Pat agreed that it was really delicious. The type of delicious that you can't quite remember if you'd had anything better before. Pat didn't quite love the mashed potatoes but the mac and cheese more than made up for it.

Worth the drive, worth the wait. Grab it, sit down and eat it. Better yet, after you've had it at the original catch it at Turophilia in the Waylon Jennings. Trust me.
