I have been wanting to try Padrino since last year when I ate at 20 Brix and found out they're owned by the same group. On the same street too for that matter, in quaint Olde Milford. Restaurant week was upon us and what better way to spend a Friday night than to go out for some pasta!
They have some really appealing cocktails. On the left you have the sage martini and the right you have a basil lemon martini. Both were very tasty and made before our eyes with fresh ingredients.

We chose the fried zucchini to share. I liked the breading it tasted like a buttermilk batter. It's hard to do zucchini or squash without it getting slimy. I would have maybe cut the pieces thicker. But tasty nonetheless.

Tomato basil soup was next. We both had the same menu for dinner and I liked the soup. Sometimes when you order a tomato soup it comes off too ketchup-y. This was not the case here. A faint sweetness and then a salty flavor of the parmesan cheese and then there's the fresh basil. A nice light soup.

Pasta agli olio was next. What the hell did I just say? I said pasta with garlic and olive oil. This was really good for just being a "plate of spaghetti" in front of us. Fresh basil and spinach, fresh tomato, lots of garlic - but not too much. There was a sweet yeast roll/knot on the left. These weren't my favorite garlic knots. That honor goes to Noce's. But these were good. Definitely tasted housemade.

They had a spumoni cheesecake. Spumoni is not my bag really so I'm probably not the best judge. But Ann said she would have preferred spumoni ice cream.

For restaurant week this was quite a deal. Not only do you get pretty stuffed but BOTH you eat for $26.11. A really great deal if you're in the mood for Italian.
I would love to go back to try their pizzas and hoagies.
