I had a Groupon for Cafe Mediterranean and it was rapidly approaching it's expiration date. Little did I know that it would have been such a headache. Pat and I got up really early for a lunch date and then we would part our ways and go to work. Google maps took me some weird way to Beechmont but we arrived near our reservation.
We ordered the Borek which closely resembled Greek tiropita. So basically a phyllo dough stuffed cheese pastry. These were good, however, they were $6. I would have either lowered the price or added to the quantity.

We each ordered the chicken doner. Cooked, sliced chicken with rice and tzaziki sauce. Very tasty, but again, no price break for lunch. At almost $14 per plate I'm not sure that this is a great value. Perhaps for lunch the prices should be around $9 or so.

We each had a baklava plate and they were very tasty. They tasted very fresh. I hesitate to say they were house made because so many baklava are not.

When it was time to pay I was given a lot of pushback from the manager because to him the groupon was not valid for lunch. I argued with him that regardless of what he intended, the groupon did not specify that it was dinner only as such he should honor it. It took a few minutes of conversation but he eventually saw my way, only after he told me that the tablecloths that we had at our table cost more than the groupon. Seriously dude, I know at least 2 better Mediterranean restaurants in the city. For this much hassle I don't need to bother with yours.
