Gourmet grilled cheese you say? Where do I go to get that? Is my response. Who doesn't like grilled cheese? Well I guess vegans. Those are the only people with an excuse! Anyhow, go to fountain square and go to the Skyline Chili tent by Graeter's and find Tom+Chee. It's fantastic! They have many non-grilled cheese options including salads inside a tomato, tomato/mozzarella salads, sandwiches etc..
They also will make you a grilled cheese out of a donut. Seriously. It sounds so good, but so naughty. . .
This one here is a cheddar cheese with Grippos BBQ Chips (yes!) and bacon (YES!). It was pretty tasty! It's a little difficult to manage with the chips trying to escape, but I managed! Hopefully this will make people like me feel more accepted who use chips as a sandwich layer.

Here we have a pepperoni pizza grilled cheese. Tomato, basil and pepperoni are in there with the cheese. This was delicious! I kind of wanted another one to eat.

They have a box on their table for their building fund. Stop by and throw them some money. Wouldn't you like a nice place downtown to go get a tasty grilled cheese at lunch time or after a hard day at work?
Update 3/12/11
I was finally able to get to Tom + Chee's new location on Court St on their first weekend of being open. I was delighted by the fact that they had a macaroni and cheese grilled cheese. The fun doesn't stop there. I added bacon. Yes, that is what soaked up no less than 20 ounces of wine at the wine festival. It was so delicious!
The beer cheese soup to the left was heavenly. If you squint a little bit when someone says "beer cheese", don't. It was really delicious, velvety, and creamy. So good! You gotta support your locally owned restaurants!

There was also a magical concoction called "The Jeff" which is their glazed donut grilled cheese with bacon. Just sinful.

I had the Hippy chee as well which was full of veggies and hummus.

And now one of my favorites ever the Italian. Pepperoni, ham, dill pickle chips and mozzarella. So delicious.
