Mr. Sushi

Well I slept too long on Friday. I was going to try Mayberry. I drove around for a while, Soho Sushi was closed also. I was going to have Nada on Saturday so I settled with their neighbor, Mr. Sushi.
I can't wait for the rest of Cincinnati's restaurant row to open. It's going to be awesome. Perhaps it will be awesome enough that the Aronoff/Nada valet can come down from $7.00!

Since I was alone I sat at the sushi bar. Very pretty. Look at Mr. Octopus there!

I haven't been anywhere that soup comes with your sushi, let alone salad! So as never before, I ate my salad with chopsticks. The dressing was kind of 1,000 island-ish. The soup was just straightforward miso. Very nice.

Perhaps I should have inquired as to the sizes of these rolls BEFORE I ordered them! Top we have Wild Summer, middle is Dancing Shrimp, bottom is Red Fire. Bottom left is a a la carte piece of Yellowtail.

My favorite of these was the Wild Summer roll. Lettuce, shrimp and spicy mayo with eel sauce.
Dancing shrimp was great also, tempura flake, eel sauce, shrimp and some sort of white fish inside (couldn't rememeber).
Red fire was good too. Tuna on top, with hot sauce and tempura flake with some sort of fish inside (I know I'm terrible. I can never remember all that!

Since I was at the bar I was hanging out with the sushi chefs. At the end of my meal one of them gave me a fresh quartered orange. How sweet!

They are open late enough to be a last minute choice for poor planners like myself. I would go back. Aside from sushi they have a huge regular menu of options to try for those who don't like sushi. But seriously, don't be afraid, the sushi won't hurt you.
