Well who knew that Main Strasse is turning into a little bohemian restaurant district? Lots of people, actually. I find myself going more and more to Main Strasse and liking what I find. I keep making my co-workers go to new places for lunch and I ended up choosing here on the basis that they serve Ahi Tuna which someone wanted.
Here you have their crab cakes. This is what Chez Nora is known for according to their menu. They were very good. There was a little more "cake" than "crab" for my liking but good nonetheless. The remoulade sauce was great. Straightforward tasty crab cakes.
Side salad here. Nothing to write home about. Decent sized, comes with a nice looking yeast roll.
Reuben Sandwich shown with a side of buttermilk mashed potatoes (look at it's little waffle fry garnish). What looks weird about this sandwich? It's on sourdough because someone didn't like rye. Sourdough rueben looked pretty tasty and of a decent portion. Pickle on the side!
Here you see the Ahi Tuna with their sauce on the side. They serve it with a spicy sweet chili sauce. I hear it was pretty tasty. Same buttermilk mashed potatoes which I hear were just okay.
Croque Monseiur ahead! Ham? Check. Cheese? Check. Fried? Check. Additional cheese on top? Check check!
So this is a ham and cheese sandwich with another slab of cheese melted on top. It was pretty good. Be prepared for it to be slightly greasy. There's just no way to make it not greasy. So good!
Our service was prompt and accurate. I enjoyed the concept of this place and was surprised to see how huge their dining room was. Go Chez Nora!
