Athenian

My family has been coming here for years. This place had the best sandwiches I'd ever had. My dad would take me here if we had to come into the city for something. (Yes, I lived in the country - sandwiches were a big deal) I went here the other day after work. I took advantage of the whole week that I was on dayshift.







Here is the Athenian Club - a triple decker sandwich with roast beef, ham and bacon. The sandwich was great. The service was horrible! I was shocked. I know I came 20 minutes before closing and I was nobody's favorite customer, but I ordered quickly and wasn't difficult. I had to listen to the cook and the waitress banter back and forth between themselves about the stupidest conversation.  The owner came down and turned out the lights.

Before I was done with any of my food I was asked to pay because they were leaving. I may go back, just not before closing.
